The calculator gets online through your phone, so there is no app to install, no account to create and nothing to pair. Turn your hotspot on, choose CONNECT on the calculator, and it tells you it is connected. That is the whole setup, and you only do it once.

One instruction, saved on the calculator and applied to every question you ask. Want every algebra step spelled out while you are learning something new? Ask for it. Checking a practice test and you only need the multiple choice answer? Ask for that instead. Your prompt stays in effect until you change it, and the math notation is never overridden, so integrals, fractions and roots are still drawn properly no matter what you write. The setup portal tells you when a prompt is active; to clear it, leave the field blank and save.

An answer is not the end of it. Reply up to three times, and every reply carries the whole conversation with it. Photograph a graph, ask about part c, then send a picture of parts d and e, and it answers all of them knowing what came before. Type a reply with ALPHA or photograph one with GRAPH, in any order you like.

Compare answers with the people around you. Up to four Nohli calculators can message each other directly over their own radio link, with no Wi-Fi, no pairing and no cost. Messages are 120 characters, ALPHA sends and CLEAR leaves. Chat switches the Wi-Fi off while it runs, so reconnect when you want the AI back.
