Description
The 5MP Camera Calculator combines a pre-owned, tested TI-84 Plus with an OV5640 autofocus camera and an ESP32-S3 chip. Questions go to OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra over your phone's hotspot. The chip parses a LaTeX subset, draws the solution as image pages, and sends them to the native graph screen.
Use TAKE IMAGE for a paper question or ASK GPT to type one. Continue with up to 3 replies, using text, photographs, or both. Real fractions, integrals, roots, and Greek symbols make the notation easier to follow. There is no saved answer history after you leave an answer.
WENJOOP NiMH AAA batteries, a charger, and $5 of prepaid API usage are included with new purchases. After that credit is used, create and fund your own OpenAI API key and enter it through the setup portal. A ChatGPT subscription does not cover API usage.
A PDF setup booklet is emailed with your tracking details just before the device ships, so you can read how to use the calculator before it arrives.
The calculator back cover is included, though it is not shown in the photographs.
Requires a 2.4 GHz hotspot or compatible Wi-Fi network without a browser sign-in page. Battery life varies with cell condition; NiMH voltage is not a reliable measure of remaining charge. EXIT returns the device to its standard TI-84 Plus functions.
